Will Smith made headlines at the 2022 Academy Awards, not only for winning best actor for his role in King James but for slapping Chris Rock on stage.

In case you missed it, Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith and Smith was not happy about it. He walked up on stage, smacked the comedian, and was then comforted by Denzel Washington and Tyler Perry backstage.

The Academy has now opened a formal review of Smith’s behavior, and many are speculating as to whether he may lose his Oscar. As for his family, they are supportive of the patriarch.
