August Anthony Alsina Jr. popularly called August Alsina is an American singer born in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 3, 1992 and who was originally signed to Def Jam Recordings.

In addition to his debut extended play (EP), Downtown: Life Under the Gun, which was released in 2013 on The-Radio Dream’s Killa Records and Def Jam Recordings, he originally released a mixtape in 2012 called The Product.

A third studio album by Alsina has been in the works since 2017. Alsina’s song “Drugs” was made available on January 6, 2017. The album’s subsequent releases were “Lonely” on June 1 and “Don’t Matter” on June 6. On June 26, 2020, the album The Product III: State of Emergency was finally made public.

According to the musician, the album explores “the struggle in my life, my upbringing as a crack baby, losing my father and sister, and becoming the guardian for my three nieces,” in addition to his battle with the auto-immune condition that damaged him.
