Fortus entered the band as the group’s second guitarist and contributed to the live album Beautiful Chaos: Greatest Hits Live.

From 1995 to 1998, he changed the band to “Loup Garou” with the recording of the band’s CD, Ten Wines from Job’s Vineyard. He moved to another band “Guns N’ Roses” where he he was replaced for the departing Robin Finck.

Fortus has been on stage on every tour since 2002, most recently with Slash and Duff McKagan during the Not in This Lifetime… Tour. He became the Dead Daisies member alongside Jon Stevens, Dave Lowy, Frank Ferrer, and Dizzy Reed, all of Guns N’ Roses.
