Puddles and Pumpkin

Mikey Way had a cat named Pumpkin and a dog named Puddles. Unfortunately Puddles was too aggressive around the baby so they had to give him away. They gave Pumpkin to another relative as well.

Mikey Way is an American musician and actor. He is best known as the bassist of the rock band My Chemical Romance. He is also the multi-instrumentalist and backing vocalist of rock duo Electric Century. Mikey co-wrote Collapser with Shaun Simon, which was released July 2019 on DC Comics.

While My Chemical Romance remains his most renowned contribution, he’s made a foray into other musical projects. He co-founded Electric Century, alongside David Debiak, releasing albums like “For the Night to Control” and “Electric Century.” As an actor, Mikey Way has appeared in shows like “The Aquabats! Super Show!” and lent his voice to characters in animated series like “Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys.”

Collaborations play a large part in Mikey Way’s career. He’s worked closely with his brother, Gerard Way, the lead vocalist of My Chemical Romance, and the rest of the band members including Ray Toro and Frank Iero. Apart from bandmates, Mikey has collaborated with a multitude of musicians and artists like Jimmy Urine of Mindless Self Indulgence, John Feldmann, producer and lead vocalist for Goldfinger, and Andy Biersack of Black Veil Brides. In acting, he’s crossed paths with Christian Jacobs and Scott Schultz, creators of “The Aquabats! Super Show!” Moreover, in the comic book arena, he’s worked with Shaun Simon Cloonan and Becky Cloonan on “Collapser,” a part of DC Comics’ Young Animal imprint.

Way has been recognized for his contributions through several honors. My Chemical Romance, he has received awards like the Kerrang! Award for Best International Band and the NME Award for Best International Band. Electric Century was also named one of the “100 Bands You Need to Know in 2014” by Alternative Press. His influence extends beyond music, gaining recognition in realms such as fashion, where he was named one of the “50 Greatest Rock Stars in the World Today” by Kerrang! in 2008.
