Joao Félix started his initial career at the age of just 8, by joining, Os Pestinhas. Then, he joined, Benfica youth ran, one of the best sports academics.

Following that at the age of 12, he moved out is house, and joined Benfica in 2015, at the age of 15. On 17 September 2016, he played a LigaPro match against, Freamunde making his professional debut. He was the youngest footballer to achieve such a feat in Benfica B.  The following year, he played 13 matches with three goals.

He was also part of the UEFA Youth League and was able to reach the finals of the tournament. On 18 August 2018, he made his senior debut in a Primeira Liga match against Boavista. On 11 April 2019, Joao Félix scored a hat trick against the Eintracht Frankfurt in the UEFA Europa League.

Atlético Madrid Career

On 3 July 2019, he signed a seven-year professional deal with La Liga club Atlético Madrid, with a transfer fee worth, €126 million. It is the fourth most expensive signing in football history.

Joao Félix was given the jersey of number seven, upon his club’s arrival after which he made his debut La Liga match against Getafe on 19 August 2019.

On 1 October 2019, Felix scored during a UEFA Champions League match over Lokomotiv Moscow. With his hard work, he received the Golden Boy Award.

Joao Félix qualified in Portugal’s preliminary 55-man squad for the 2020 FIFA World Cup, in Qatar in October 2022.
