YNW Melly is the stage name of an American rapper. YNW are initials for Young N*gga World. He is best known for his single “Mixed Personalities” where he featured Kanye West.

YNW Melly was born Jamell Maurice Demons in an extremely poor home.

At a young age, he joined the Bloods gang, by 2015 he was arrested and convicted for two counts of aggravated assault. He served a few months in prison.

While still in prison, Melly released an EP called “Collect Call”. In 2019, he released another EP called “We All Shine”. The track was streamed 200 million times on Spotify with an average of 10 million monthly listeners.

On February 12, 2019, Melly was charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection to a 2018 shooting.

Melly was supposed to go on trial on March 7, 2022, but the trial was postponed and it is yet to commence.

Is YNW Melly Still Alive or Dead 2021?

YNM Melly is alive but behind bars. In 2020, he tested positive for Covid-19, he tried to get an early release from prison but the motion was denied.

Melly has since recovered from Covid-19 and is awaiting trial in The Broward County Jail, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
