The time has come. Ginny and Georgia season 2 lands on Netflix on Jan. 5, and we can’t wait to see what’ll happen with one of our favorite fictional mother-daughter duos. If you’re just as excited as us about the teen series return, you’ll likely want to start watching the second season right away. But before you start your binge session, it’s imperative that we inform you of the parents guide and age rating.

Ginny and Georgia season 2 picks up shortly after where the story left off in the season 1 finale. Ginny and Austin run off on Marcus’s bike to a mystery destination after Ginny learns about Georgia’s involvement in Kenny’s death. Meanwhile, Georgia has to deal with both of her kids gone and one of the kids knowing that she killed Kenny. Throughout the second season, this is one of the main issues between Ginny and Georgia. Ginny knows Georgia killed Kenny to protect her, but she can’t believe her eccentric mom was actually capable of committing murder. Can their relationship be repaired with this huge dark secret coming to light?

Of course, Ginny and Georgia also have their personal issues too. Ginny has to deal with school, her broken friendship with MANG, and her romance with Marcus. Also, more of Georgia’s dark past comes back to haunt her, like her ex-boyfriend/Austin’s dad being released from prison. This mother-daughter duo just can’t seem to catch a break!

After watching the official trailer, we can already tell this season will be very entertaining. So, get your snacks and drink of choice ready to watch Ginny and Georgia season 2 only on Netflix.

The highly anticipated second season is rated TV-14, meaning it may not be suitable for ages under 14. It was given this maturity rating for strong language, self-harm, sex, smoking, and substances. If you watched the first season, you’d already know that the teen series is rated TV-14. The maturity rating did not change for the second season.

Profanity is used a lot throughout Ginny and Georgia season 2. The characters also use several sexual innuendos. You can expect underage drinking as well. Although there’s no nudity, there are several sex scenes. In the first season, Ginny struggled with self-harm. This is a recurring issue that continues in the second season. Additionally, marijuana is mentioned and smoked by some of the characters. Abuse and violence are also shown this season. Lastly, a sensitive topic such as mental illness is also discussed.

All of the content above would be considered inappropriate for younger audiences to watch. However, you might not want your 14-year-old watching a show like this either. It seems to be more appropriate for kids ages 15 and up, in my opinion. Overall, parents are strongly cautioned.
