James Caan, born James Edmund Caan, was an American actor born on March 26, 1940, to parents, Sophie and Arthur Caan. He grew up in Sunnyside, Queens.

Caan is popularly known for his role as Sonny Carleone in “The Godfather”. He was nominated for several awards including, four Golden Globes, an Emmy, and an Oscar.

He was also awarded a Motion Pictures Star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame in 1978.
