Film actress who starred in the critically-acclaimed 2010 film Greenberg. She also appeared in the romantic comedies Arthur and No Strings Attached. She made her directorial debut with the 2017 film Lady Bird, which earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Picture as well as Best Director, among others.

Greta's parents are Christine and Gordon, a financial consultant and computer programmer. In 2011, she began dating director Noah Baumbach. She and Baumbach welcomed a son named Harold in 2019. In December 2022, the couple announced they were expecting their second child together. She welcomed a second son in February 2023. The couple officially married in 2023.
