Awkwafina adopted a rescue dog from South Korea named Haeng-Un Lum in March 2021.

Nora Lum, known professionally as Awkwafina, is an American actress and rapper. She’s best known for her role in the 2018 film Crazy Rich Asians, which also starred  Constance Wu, Henry Golding, Awkwafina, Ken Jeong, Gemma Chan, Harry Shum Jr, Ronny Chieng, Chris Pang, Nico Santos, Sonoya Mizuno, Jing Lusi, Jimmy O Yang, and Michelle Yeoh. She rose to prominence in 2012 when her rap song “My Vag” became popular on YouTube. She then released her debut album, Yellow Ranger (2014), and appeared on the MTV comedy series Girl Code (2014–2015). Her second album, In Fina We Trust, was released in 2018.

Awkwafina is co-creator, writer, and executive producer of the Comedy Central series Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens (2020–present), in which she stars as a fictionalized version of herself.
