Vanessa Hudgens has one dog, a toy poodle mix named Darla. While with her then-boyfriend Austin Butler, she adopted Darla from a neighbor of Butler’s mom. His mom noticed the tiny poodle mix sitting on a neighbor’s balcony in the summer heat every day without food or water. She eventually went over to the neighbors to say if they can’t look after the dog, she would. After Butler’s mom passed away, Hudgens and Butler took Darla, with Hudgens keeping Darla after they broke up.

Austin Butler is an American actor. He is best known for his critically acclaimed portrayal of Elvis Presley in Baz Luhrman’s 2022 musical biopic Elvis. More recently, he made his Broadway debut in the 2018 revival of The Iceman Cometh and played Tex Watson in Quentin Tarantino‘s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019). He is set to star in the upcoming Apple war drama miniseries Masters of the Air.
