It’s easy to assume you know everything there is to know about someone whose entire life is spent in the spotlight, but that assumption could not be further from the truth. There are plenty of things we do not know about people in Hollywood, even though it seems that there’s nothing left to learn about these people. Perrey Reeves, for example, is an actress that’s been around for decades. She’s starred in some of the most hilarious and most beloved movies and television series of our generation, and few people know much about her. For example, how many of you knew exactly who I was talking about when you read the name of this article? Exactly; half know, and half recognize her face more so than her name. So now that we recognize her and we know we’ve seen her in Entourage and starring in movies such as “Mr. and Mrs. Smith,” and “Old School,” what else do we not know about Perrey Reeves? She’s got a Very Famous Grandfather

Hazard E. Reeves is one of the most famous sound pioneers in all of Hollywood, and he also happens to be the grandfather of Perrey. It helps that she has family that’s been in the business for so long, since it helped open some doors for her and make it possible for her to begin her own amazing career. Her grandfather changed the way movies were made when he introduced the magnetic stereophonic to films, and that’s changed the way we all listen to and watch movies.

She’s got another Famous Grandfather

It’s not just her dad’s dad that’s a famous man. Her mother’s father was James H. Hughes, a U.S. Senator from Delaware. She’s from a family of very intelligent men and women, and it shows in her craft, skill and her very articulate manner. She’s kind of awesome, and it seems as if this is a trait that runs in the family.

She’s a Newlywed

The 44-year-old actress wed her fiancé of almost a year just last month – it actually has not even been a month just yet. She married a man by the name of Aaron Fox, but she plans to keep her name as it is for professional purposes. We have no idea if she will legally change her last name personally, however. She married a tennis company founder, and  the two did not quite make the year mark with their engagement.

She’s a Cougar

While that term is seriously derogatory and not at all flattering, it works for the sake of describing what we’re describe. Reeves married her husband last month, and she snagged herself a younger man. In fact, her husband is 10 years her junior. I’m still not sure why it’s such a big deal for her to marry a man a decade younger than her when no one would even think to mention it if he were a decade older than she.

Net Worth

Perrey Reeves is a comfortable woman with a net worth of approximately $3 million. It’s a little surprising she’s worth only $3 million, however, considering how much work she’s had over the course of her career and the fact that she was on Entourage for 7 years. It just goes to show that those who are not the main characters on television shows and in movies do not get paid nearly as much as those who are frequently in the spotlight.

She did not Own a Television Growing up

Reeves parents did not believe in television as entertainment when they were raising their children (something tells me they probably own one now) and they did not own one. Reeves, instead, was encouraged to read as a child. This is a fact I find particularly awesome since my parents were the same way. While we did own a television, I did not have cable or satellite or anything of that nature until I graduated high school and moved out of their home. TGIF (Family Matters, Full House…) was the only thing I was allowed to watch on television growing up. It was actually a nice life.

She’s Addicted to Yoga

There are all kinds of addictions in Hollywood, but we think that Perrey Reeves has a pretty good one. She loves to practice yoga and meditate. Both are something she’s been doing for decades, and we guess that might help to explain where she got that killer body of hers and how she has managed to maintain that killer body of hers for the past four decades – and then some. She’s gorgeous, and she’s aging beautifully, and we bet that her healthy addictions have something to do with that.

She’s an Animal Lover

Reeves spends a great deal of her free time volunteering for and with many animal charities. She’s frequently spotted raising money for animals that are neglected and abused, and she takes her job as an advocate for animal safety and health very seriously. It’s nice to see someone using their fame for all things awesome – and for animals.

She did not Invite her Long-Time Costars to her Wedding

Despite spending 7 years playing Jeremy Piven’s onscreen wife on Entourage, she did not invite him or any of her former costars to her recent wedding. It wasn’t because she’s not friendly with them and does not like them, however. It’s just because she wanted a small wedding with just family, and that’s a little hard to do when you’re also inviting costars and friends.

She’s the Most Beautiful Bride one could Ever Dream Of

This is a quote directly from her new husband; and he is correct. Every groom should feel that the woman he marries is the most beautiful bride one could ever dream of, and it’s so heartwarming to see someone express that feeling and that statement following their wedding. If only more men and women felt that way following their weddings, perhaps they’d stay married much longer!
